Overview and Tips

Presented by: Izaskun Orkwis

Presentation Overview:

Becoming an ATA-certified translator is an important milestone in a translator’s career. To succeed as a candidate, in addition to being a very good translator, there are many details to think about. Izaskun Orkwis is one of the people grading English-into-Spanish ATA certification exams and is here to tell you how the exam works, how it is graded, and what you need to keep in mind when preparing and sitting for it. There will be lots of examples and explanations of how grading decisions are made. The session will be in Spanish, focusing on English-into-Spanish examples; candidates in other language combinations are welcome.
