Originally launched in March 2015, the DVTA website was enhanced, updated and improved to better meet our members' needs, including moving the site to Wordpress, eliminating browser issues, creating a fully searchable website, updating the membership directory and member profiles, and adding a Members' Only Forum. We also changed our membership dues cycle to run for a full 12 months, rather than a calendar year, and provided the ability for members to submit their own events, workshops and training for approval and publication to the DVTA calendar.
Building on the success of our original launch and working with our web designer and a graphic designer to incorporate member feedback and suggestions, we are thrilled to announce the launch of our latest version.
Here's what's new:
A new, fresh, modern look greets visitors with more pictures and graphics that represent not only the Delaware Valley but also the diversity of our membership.
A newly formatted Member Directory
now has new look and a collapsible/expandable member search functionality. Just type the first few letters of whatever you are searching for and the site will provide a list of options from which to select. Also, simply hover over a member to get more information about that member and their skills. The Member Directory now also randomizes our extensive list of membership so each member has an equal chance of being listed first when the page is loaded.
Our Corporate Member Directory
is also reformatted and randomizes our Corporate members for equal viewing opportunities with a more cohesive and marketing-friendly look including Corporate Member logos.
Our Members' Only Forum
is now a fully integrated and functional forum in that when messages are posted, members can reply directly from their email or by logging into the site. All replies will be sent to everyone who received the original message as well as copied and saved as replies in the Forum for future reference.
The organization's bylaws
are now readily available under the About tab on the Homepage. While there, check out our new President's Message
For our members:
We have added Fields of Expertise, Certifications and Education fields in member profiles so you can detail as much of your education, skills and talents as you wish in your profiles.
But, wait, there's more!
A new Member Profile Wizard will be implemented in the next few months to increase efficiency, accuracy and user-friendliness for members completing their profiles.
Please take a moment to explore the new site and check out all the new cool features. If you have any comments or feedback, please email the Membership Chairperson
